We were busy at the end of July with many trips to the county fair and a fun birthday party for my dear friend Sari! I'll let the photos do the talking. :)
SARI'S BIRTHDAY!
| Melissa made us a yummy cake from scratch! The icing too! It was delicious! |
| Sari's party was made up of all her favorite things including a beach theme and Chipolte for dinner! |
| She got a gift card to one of her favorite stores, her favorite candy and a CD of all her favorite music! |
| Frozen mango margarita's - another favorite! I know it looks like I downed my margarita but Mel actually just made me a small one so I could have a couple sips. :) (LtoR: Rebecca, me, Sari, Emily, and Melissa. Missing Danielle who is Florida!) |
OLMSTED COUNTY FAIR!
| Milking a "cow"! She sees this picture, does the hand motions and says "squeeze!" |
| Checking out the stinky pigs. |
| And the very stinky goats. |
| Horses, Mom!! |
| The three girls in their strollers... Kinsley, Kylie (napping) and Ellasen. |
| My favorite part of the fair was the Miracle of Life exhibit. Here Kinsley is petting a piglet that is about 18 hours old. |
| On one visit we got to see the birth of a calf. It was a bit scary because the calf was upside down and had quite a traumatic birth. |
| Here is the calf right after birth. It's a little hard to see but she was having some trouble. In fact, they didn't think she was going to make it. We were glad to find out that after we left, they put her on some oxygen and she is doing great back on the farm with her mama. |
| Petting the baby chicks. |
| This is actually a random picture from a trip to Oxbow Zoo. Kinsley loved having a little time with her daddy. Unfortunately a calf did die on this trip. They have a farm section and one of the calves was in major distress and didn't make it... Louie said that it got air in it's tummy and the stomach probably split. So sad. :( I'm glad the calf at the fair made it because I was starting to think I should stay clear of livestock for a while... |
| Lastly, here is a picture of Kinsley from the beginning of July. We went to our friends', Anne and David, 4th of July party and thanks to Carol, she had a very cute hand-made outfit to wear to the festivities! Thanks Grandma Shorty! |
