Kinsley Turns Two!

We celebrated Kinsley's birthday two weekends in a row and she loved it! And so did Mama!:) Her actual birthday was on Saturday, Aug 13th. Louie had to go into work that morning so he got up early so he could be home in time to cook her breakfast. We ended up having to wait around some though because she decided to sleep in until 9!!  We sang her happy birthday and she blew out a candle that was in her biscuit. We ran some errands and then that evening Daddy cooked us a feast... steak, baked potatoes and salads. It was yummy! After dinner, Kinsley opened a couple more family gifts from her Papa, Neena and Uncle Andrew (my dad, step-mom, and brother). Don't mind her attire. She was still in a post-nap onesie. :) She LOVED her gifts! See for yourself!

The following day was her birthday party. We gathered at a park near our house. The weather was gorgeous and Kinsley had a blast. Everyone in the family was fighting a cold but that didn't slow any of us down. We are so grateful for our Rochester family. So many came to celebrate with Kinsley. We have built such a community here and it will be difficult celebrating next year with out them.
We had a Mexican food joint cater the food and made sure to have a lot of Kinsley's favorites including cake, of course, and balloons. I'll let the pictures tell the rest of the story. :)
Enjoying a yummy taco.

Other friends enjoying dinner too!

Amazed that everyone is singing Happy Birthday to HER!
I'm making sure she knows we're singing to her. :)

Blowing out her candles (and me catching the drool- don't worry, none landed on the cake!).
Clapping after she blew out her candles. So proud of herself.

Park time!! Leading the pack to play.
Ella and Kai having some fun!

You think this cutie could use a haircut??
She thought she was a spider.
The spider with her spider friends.
BOO!
Kai thought it was time to open her present so she carried it over for Kinsley. It was almost as big as her!
Kinsley loved her gift and gave Kai a big "squeeze" to say thank you.
Then Ella helped Kinsley open their gift. It was bubbles!!
The kids were so excited!
Loving the bubbles!
After a big night, we waited until the next morning to open the rest of her gifts. She loves all her new toys! :)
We really had a great weekend! Thanks to all who helped us celebrate from near and far! I still need to post Kinsley's "Watch Me Grow" photo with Trout and write about all of her milestones... but for now, I'm off to hit the hay! :)
Love,
Catherine
