Kinsley - 8 Months!

Although Miss Kins is closer to 9 months than 8, I still had to post her 8 month "Watch Me Grow" pictures. We were cleaning and packing the day we took this picture so please excuse our ragamuffin attire.

At 8 months, Kinsley:

-Wears size 9-12 month size clothing
-Wears size 3 Pampers Cruisers
-Can sit, roll, scoot and rock on all fours (big change from her 7 month - barely rolling over - post)
-Still loves to bounce. :)
-Loves to give kisses
-Eats a variety of foods but still loves her greenbeans and peas.
-Is obsessed with her puffs and feeds herself by sticking her entire fist in her mouth and then sucking the puff out of her fist.
-Is less interested in her bottle and can pretty much hold it herself.  Eating about 6 oz every 4-5 hours
-Sleeps for about 11 hours and takes two naps a day.
-Is DONE being swaddled. Yipee! She sleeps on her tummy in her sleep sack and can put her paci in her mouth all by herself. (No more getting up in the middle of the night to replace the pacifier!)
-Loves to talk "ba,ba" - "da,da"- "ma,ma" - and "mom" (which she says when she's frustrated)
-Pants like a dog when she is excited.  Wonder where she learned that from??
-Has replaced "Cars" with her new favorite video - "Veggietales: Where's God When I'm Scared?"
-Is done with her Magic Swing. :( I packed it up today. 
-Has one... no, scratch that, I just checked and there are two teeth poking through in there.

Here are a couple of videos of Kinsley scooting around.  The first one is about 2 minutes and the second is about 50 seconds.  Just want to document the growth! :)

Bluebonnet Pictures 2010

Hello All!
I am way behind on the blog postings.  Our trip to Texas and Kinsley's 8 month "Watch Me Grow" photos will be up soon. I promise!  (Hopefully before Kinsley turns 9 months!)
In the meantime, here are some pictures we took for fun with one of my step-mom's friends, Natalie.  She was so sweet to meet with us.  She has a photography business in San Antonio called Whimsical Expressions Photography .  There are over 100 pics so don't feel too obligated to go through them all.  Just a little taste of Texas in the spring time. 

Unfortunately, as with every picture day, Kinsley took a very short morning nap and was exhausted by the time her photo shoot rolled around.  The Easter dress pictures was outfit number two and she was DONE with pictures at this point.  Hence the very dramatic picture #(122).  Poor little girl. :) It was pretty cute.

Easter Fun!

The Stryker household had a wonderful Easter.  We started the day with breakfast together.  Louie cooked bacon, eggs, and potatoes.  We put it all together in a tortilla with some salsa and cheese and enjoyed some tasty breakfast tacos, San Antonio style!  The weather was absolutely gorgeous in Rochester.  After Kinsley's morning nap we headed to church.  Louie's mom made Kinsley's Easter dress.  The dress is absolutely gorgeous.  The pictures do not do it justice.  Thanks Carol!! Kinsley was mesmerized by the dress.  We had to work hard to get her to look up at the camera.  :)

She did well in the church nursery and Louie and I enjoyed the service.  Afterwards, we were able to get a family picture. Kinsley was getting sleepy. :)

When we got back to the house, it turned out the Easter Bunny had stopped by and left a goody bag for Kinsley, Louie, Trout and Striper.  We had fun opening our "baskets."
