Halloween 2012!

Halloween did not quite go as smoothly as we hoped, but it was fun none the less. In the end, I was just so thankful... for sweet girls and a loving husband/daddy and a very easy to please 3 year old.

Ready to hit the road. I had to help Kins in her seat every time She was so huge and puffy. Love it!

Our first house of many where no one was home. We found everyone about 7 houses down at a neighborhood Halloween party I'd forgotten about. Oops.

Daddy had not joined us yet because he was unfortunately in a fender bender on his way home from work. He's okay and his car will be too after it's repaired. Aubrey was also not doing well and beginning to melt down. She had a cold and was exhausted. So, once Daddy arrived, we went back to the house to refuel, grab hats and coats bc it was so chilly outside and then I stayed home and put Aubrey to bed while Lou and Kins hit the streets.

October 2012 trip to San Antonio

Louie and I went on a trip to visit Memphis (more on that later) and my sweet step-mom Leigh Ann graciously offered to fly to Charlotte and watch the girls while we were gone. It was a lot of work for her, a huge inconvenience and and we're forever grateful. Thank you Leigh Ann!

Before heading to the airport with Louie, I put out a scavenger hunt/treasure hunt for Kinsley for when she woke up from nap. It ended with M&Ms and fun sorting game. She could eat a new color every day we were gone. I think she liked it.

After returning from Memphis, we had a quick one night turn-around and then the girls, Leigh Ann and I headed to San Antonio. It was sooooo helpful to have help flying. We made it home without her but things were much easier and enjoyable with her company.

Our first big event was going to the the UT/Baylor football game to see Aunt Rahrah cheer. There was a meet and greet before the game. Kinsley was uber excited. Once all the excitement began, though, she got a little overwhelmed. She is still talking about this game.

We walked right past the security guards like we knew what we were doing and got to see Sarah up close. It was so fun!

I so happened to come in on a weekend that all the ladies had a scheduled painting class. It was so fun! You bring your own wine and apps and the teacher takes you step by step through to the finished product.

We also started a new tradition with the grandkids! Costumes!

This was hilarious trying to get four kids 3 and under to take a picture. They were all on the move.

I love this one of Aubrey... "I'm gonna crawl right out of this picture!!"

Logan the duck was fascinated with Aubrey's teddybear costume.

Next we attempted some pictures with Mimi and Grandpa Marcus.

Aubrey sat there happy the whole time while we rotated different grandkids out.

Kinsley was sooooo excited to see her Uncle Bub. She gave him the longest hug when she first saw him and the longest hug goodbye.

Absolutely love this picture! Only one we got with all 4 grandkids! Aubrey is looking at the camera as usual, Logan is staring at his Grandpa, Kinsley is trying to figure out what is going on with all these little ones, and Elijah has had it. Too funny!

Garvin and Carol's visit to Charlotte

G and Kinsley decided to make some Halloween sugar cookies.

At church on Sunday. Aubrey is wearing the beautiful dress that Carol made Kinsley to wear for her first Easter. It's gorgeous!

Louie made a huge and delicious dinner of shrimp tacos, a chunky avocado dip and borracho beans.

It was delicious and the weather was perfect.

Aubrey didn't get any yummy shrimp tacos but she did look awfully cute (and bright) hanging out with us in her exersaucer.

After dinner Louie and Garvin spent about 45 min attempting to get a fire started in our outdoor fireplace. It had rained that morning so it took some extra time to make it happen.

But happen it did! Yum!

Kinsley picked out 3 rides - the first was the spinning strawberries. Ugh.

Next was the big train around the park.

And last was the toddler train ride, which evidently paled in comparison to the big train ride. :)

She was interested in the animals for about 10 minutes then found some bikes and scooters that were way more entertaining.

This all took place in the middle of Aubrey's nap time. She was exhausted.

Her other favorite thing to do with daddy is hit golf balls in the back yard so she got a set of clubs of her very own. She was thrilled.

Mommy/daughter trip to Disney on Ice. - We went to purchase tickets online and we found out that they only allow kids who wear big-girl panties to purchase tickets.... she's been wearing panties ever since. :)
